FAQs
When can I stop by your office?
Can I tip the volunteer drivers?
If I live outside your service boundaries but have an appointment on the Eastside, can I use your services?
In order to receive services, all individuals must live within our boundaries.
If I have an appointment that is further away, can I still request a ride?
As long as we have a volunteer willing to drive that far, we may be able to help!
I’m not sure if you are able to help me with a certain request. I don’t see it specifically listed in your services.
If we have a volunteer willing to help with the request and it’s within reason, we may be able to help!
Are you able to fill all my requests?
Depending on our volume, the frequency of requests, and volunteer availability, we may or may not be able to accommodate all requests. If we are unable to help, we typically help through problem solving and suggest other solutions.
Do you provide services outside of typical office hours?
If we have a volunteer willing to help outside of office hours, then yes!
I work a full time day job, am I still able to be a volunteer driver?
For sure! We love having volunteers who are available to take clients shopping on weekends or requests in the evenings or early mornings.
How much notice do you need for a ride request?
The sooner we know about your ride, the better we can assist. We request that we know all rides seven days before it occurs. If you are a new client, we need additional time to get you registered.
What does the volunteer do while I’m at my appointment? Do they wait there?
The volunteer may wait on-site for you, especially if your appointment is short. Or, they may run their own errands or even return home. They’ll expect a call from you or the office when you are ready for the ride home.
